About Comfort My People (CMP)
"Learn from yesterday, live for today,
hope for tomorrow." - Albert Einstein
As Christians, we still can appreciate our Hebraic roots and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. CRC has enjoyed developing friendships with our Jewish neighbors through the fellowship that was co-founded in 2002, Comfort My People (CMP), www.comfortmypeople.org. CMP has offered several opportunities over the years for Jews and Christians to come together to hear gifted speakers, view dramatic performances, and enjoy live music and fellowship.
In recent years, our CMP events have included a commemoration of the anniversary of Kristallnacht - the Night of Broken Glass. It's important to reflect upon, remember, and learn from the grievous injustices that have taken place historically, recognizing that similar injustices are taking place throughout the world today. May God grant all peoples wisdom and strength to know how to live and respond appropriately today with all of its challenges, and give everyone hope for a better tomorrow.
