      Let me first share a little bit about our history.  Today's Christian Renewal Church (CRC) is the result of a 2002 merging of two congregations, Church of the Redeemer (COR) Assembly of God of South Hamilton, and Christian Renewal Church of Salem, MA.  Both congregations had originally been planted on the North Shore in the early eighties, and I had been the pastor of COR since 1986, having just graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary that year.  CRC then spent several years in Salem going about the work of 'building bridges', and during that season, God blessed us to bless others in amazing ways!  We especially appreciated the friendships that were established there with our Jewish neighbors across Lafayette Street and in the surrounding communities.  We also enjoyed the fellowship we had with several other Salem churches and participating with them in various events over the years   In 2006, we moved to our present location in Beverly, MA where we share the facilities with a Nazarene church, and we enjoy the camaraderie we have with them (as well as the large parking lot!).   Come and join us!  Here at Christian Renewal Church we believe that God's redeeming power transforms lives.  On Sunday mornings, we offer Adult Christian Education on various topics of interest followed by our Worship Service, where we pair in-depth Bible teaching and preaching, with lively, contemporary worship and praise. Opportunities are available for fellowship and prayer on Sundays as well as at other times during the week, with new small groups and youth-oriented ministries now forming.  We have a heart to reach out to our neighbors, our cities, our country and the world with compassionate evangelism and to partner with other ministries that share that vision.  For that reason, CRC faithfully provides financial and prayer support to twelve Assemblies of God missionaries, (currently five in the U.S., and seven abroad), along with Wycliffe Bible Translators, Teen Challenge Outreach Ministries, A Woman's Concern, and other local and foreign ministries.  Please plan to visit soon - we'd like to get to know you better!
